Welcome to Second Grade! As teachers we encourage all Second graders to become responsible and independent learners. Our goal is to educate your child in basic reading skills, including phonics, word attack skills and comprehension. In Math your child will be reinforcing addition and subtraction skills as well as learning multiplication, division and real world problem solving. All activities and lessons are geared toward your child's success in second grade and on the SAT-10. It is imperative to remember that childhood is a journey and not a race. Keeping this in mind we are certain to achieve success in educating your child. The second grade teachers look forward to being partners with you in this process!
