Ms. Elaine Adderly, Assistant Principal
Ms. Adderly is an intelligent individual, possessing a strong sense of ethics and responsibility. Her commitment to excellence is evident and demonstrated through her conscientiousness as a school leader. As Assistant Principal, Ms. Adderly engages faculty and staff to work together to produce the highest quality of education. She is not above wiping down tables, assisting children with crossing the street or wearing a costume in honor of our students’ academic achievements. Her dedication and sincerity is truly immeasurable. During her 17 year tenure, Ms. Adderly has had the opportunity to serve in diversely populated elementary schools in Miami-Dade County . Ms. Adderly holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, a Master's of Science in Educational Leadership and a Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology. Specifically she has been a 4th grade TEAM Teacher, a language arts resource teacher, an Educational Specialist for the District Office of Curriculum Support, and an administrator. Ms. Adderly was a fourth grade teacher for eight years at North Miami Elementary School in Miami Dade County , where she implemented an advanced academic program for minority students. Ms. Adderly worked at Fulford Elementary for one year as a language arts resource teacher, where she modeled lessons, closely worked with remedial students in writing, planned and monitored instructional practices and facilitated parent workshops. Ms. Adderly then became an Educational Specialist for the District Office of Curriculum Support. Ms. Adderly assisted Level 1 and Level 2 elementary schools in all areas of the curriculum to help increase student performance and achievement. She modeled lessons, worked closely with school administrators to align the curriculum with the Sunshine State Standards, conducted parent and teacher inservices, assisted school teams with long-range plans, and worked closely with school administrators to evaluate student progress. As a school-site administrator, her experience with elementary curriculum has been a great asset as she continues to work with teachers and students to increase student performance.
