Accelerated Reader Program
Our Accelerated Reader Program continues for the ninth year. This program helps to build a lifelong love of reading and learning. It motivates students to read and helps increase their reading levels. It personalizes reading practice to each student’s current level, and helps to raise student’s comprehension. Students earn points for every book they read and answer the reading comprehension questions correctly. Each book is worth a certain number of points, and each student receives an average for the number of questions correct on each test. All students who accumulate one hundred or more points will be awarded certificates at the end of the school year. In addition, all students who earn 200 or more points throughout the school year will receive a permanent plaque in the media center.
